Obsidian Heart, Blackened Hematite - Mythic Transmutation

Crafted from Obsidian, the raised and braised numbering on the face of each die shifts in colour as they are rolled. To keep them in pristine condition, each set from our Spell Fury range comes with a PU leather black and silver dice vault as standard.

One of the final spells to master for any Arch-Mage of Transmutation worthy of their station is a destructive 9th level transmutation spell known as the Obsidian Heart. Upon its casting, the heart of the target immediately transmutes into solid Obsidian and rapidly approaches the temperature of an active volcano. The heat eventually increases to a point where the poor victim and his immediate surrounding are entirely liquified into thick molten lava, the only remains being a heart of pure Obsidian floating in the center.

Great Dice, Not Great Store

I'm a long-time fan of DnDice's products, having bought several sets for myself and others at conventions, from Amazon and from this site. The dice are great, the little extras thrown into packages are a nice touch and, generally shopping has been a great experience.

That said, this is the first time I've had to contact them regarding an order, and it's left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered the Obsidian Heart, Mythic Transmutation set with Special Delivery to arrive on the 5th Jan, but they arrived three days late, which I found (via the packaging) out was due to them being sent via 2nd Class mail.

While waiting, I tried contacting DnDice on Jan 7th; the Contact page has no phone number, so I tried the form on the site and also replying to the shipment notification, and have not heard back. Really, there needs to either be a phone line, or some triage of emails, etc.

Brilliant set of dice!

I bought these as a present for my DM as a thank you for hosting 2~ years worth of sessions and he absolutely loved them. The dice are beautiful and feel really solid the sort of thing you would treasure for a long time to come. I would say they're a little pricey and in low light they can be a little hard to read, but I would gladly buy from here again. :)
