I don't usually leave reviews for anything I buy, and that's not an exaggeration, but I just had to in this case. I bought this set for my best friend's birthday because they play in a campaign that I run. I saw the design and colour and was instantly reminded of a character I had designed that they loved, so I decided to make the gamble and hope it looked just as good in person. Having bought plastic dice from DnDice before, I knew that I wasn't going to get anything of terrible quality, but I was slightly sceptic of whether they would live up exactly to the example images. The dice arrived promptly, within two days of my order, which was a good start. Immediately after opening the parcel, I was pleasantly surprised by the leather and velvet style container (which I firmly believe calling a 'storage tin' is underselling its awesomeness). It's an inch or so larger than the size of my palm, and in the shape of a good ol' hexagon. That wasn't the only pleasant surprise. Having left an order note explaining the birthday situation, DnDice was thoughtful enough to include a cute little tag for me to write a message to my friend on (along with a tasty lollipop and a handwritten note wishing my friend a great day). These extras aside, it was time to finally open the box and see the thing I'd been waiting for... And wow. Just WOW. They are BEAUTIFUL! Saying that they didn't disappoint is an understatement. In my humble opinion, the images don't do them justice! The ruby red is vibrant and not at all faded or diluted. The metal trim is clean and shiny, not a dull section to be seen. I would hesitate to call any dice flawless, but these might as well be for the joy they gave me to open and hold. For anyone looking at this page right now and by chance reading this review, I can wholeheartedly endorse this set. You won't be disappointed! :)
